I like the art, very much yes...Its really pretty but (prepare yourself for ranting)....

Dont plan to argue/debate/fight with you but.... America really didnt save us.. He bought us in fact... Betrayed Emilio A. for he promised in Hongkong to set us free, more deaths during 50 years of American occupation than of 300 years of Spanish, WII War plan rainbow states that he let us fall to Japan and just sent soldiers to keep up his "Hero Act"... Human Zoo, Water Torture, and destruction of our culture thanks to Western influence (America), VFA, Subic rape cases, OFWs in America abuse cases, We helped them in EVERY freaking war he had yet wont help us against China disputes...

Im sorry! Im not against your art and yes, America helped us in many ways too! But im just against the fact that he rescued Philippines and fell in love! But dont worry, if thats your Otp imma not against it! Its just that your view (or description) is wrong about America! Hes not a knight in shining armor that just rescued Piri! No!! Thats Colonial Mentality! :(((((((( im really sorry about that.... Please forgive me as I burry myself in the mud...

I appreciate your perspective and opinon but...(warning, counterargument inbound!)

Believe it or not America isn't invincible. The Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor took quite a toll on the American Navy, forcing production of ships to increase to meet heavy war demands. Japan kicked his ass in the early parts of the War with their well trained navy and Zero fighters, taking American territory all the way up to Alaska (this includes the Philippines). It was only later that America was able to start winning using the Island hopping plan under General MacArthur and his new Hellcat fighter. The Filipinos fought bravely during the war and America appreciates that.

The Americans, however, were inexperienced when they adopted the Philippines as a colony, and didn't recognize the work Spain had done and the state the Philippines were in. Leading to blunders resulting in war.

Late, but as promised, the United States gave the Philippines independence on July 4th, 1946.

If you don't like American Culture, stop buying American Culture. Don't watch our TV shows, don't buy our clothing. We aren't forcing it on anyone. As for the disputes with China, that is a part of being Independent. America gets enough shit for meddling in foreign affairs.

Anyways, this is a nice piece, yes?

Oh gosh.... Im sorry!!

i... I didnt mean to offend you! I believe America is a nice country.. While i know i said its....bad things in the past, weeell wat i replied was an obvious biased answer. I mean, during the Yolanda you helped us out a lot... Plus most Filipinos earn their living there, my relatives are also part of them, but i cant say that you didnt do bad things, because everyone does. I... Just dont like it that America is being called a saviour, thats all. We all have bad history, and that is why ambassadors and presidents are made. But Im sorry, i cant take back those things I said :) . However it is also blame on my part that that comment a year ago (?) was one sided and just portrayed and listed all the bad things, and that i didnt made it clear i wasn't hating but reminding my KABABAYANs (kasalanan niyo to lahat eh! Kung mas nasyonalismo kayo di ko siya nasaktan!)  that they should for once open their blasted eyes before i use it as fishball and it to my dogs. I shouldve also listed the good things youve done to us, im sorry for that... (we helped all your wars... can you help us a little bit? Please? *shot*)

Uwa dont do that! Who will englisize all the games from Japan and dub Avatar?

Ha yes, it is a very nice piece.

Don't worry. There are a lot of good reasons to dislike what present America is doing. The American government has made some really unwise decisions recently and have acted hypocritically. I wasn't getting offended so much as debating. Most everyday Americans realize what their country has done in the past, but the best they can do is try to mend it and hope for people to forgive. I just get a little tired of hearing so much bias against my home on a daily basis. So many Europeans who insult the U.S. calling them ignorant, and then going on to make ignorant comments themselves. A lot of people in America earnestly want to help others, but a lot of them are ignorant and mean, too. America constantly has a lot on her plate as the worlds biggest superpower, and they can't go around and help everyone at the same time. But I'll stand beside what I said before and you should too.
